2010 April Vacation Programs

 

Spring Farmers - Kindergarten through 4th Grade
Shake off the winter blues and dive into spring. The farm is the place to be! Get to know our new arrivals – kids and lambs, bunnies and piglets. The week will be filled with caring for the animals, starting seedlings and preparing the garden, nature crafts and the exploration of the water world on the farm. So put on your boots, there is so much to do!
When: Tuesday, April 20 through Friday, April 23
Time:  9 – 12 noon (1) or 1 – 4 pm (2)                       
Fee: $150 NM/$135 M per session

April Youth Work Experience - Ages 11+
We are inviting middle school students to join the Farm staff during April vacation to prepare the gardens, transplant seedlings in the greenhouses, take care of the animals and help with maintenance. At this time of  the year students have the opportunity to learn about growing plants from seeds, tending to them and preparing the gardens so they can produce healthy plants and a bountiful harvest.
This hands on learning experience gives participants a chance to learn job skills and unique insight into the every-day work of farming.

Fee: $98 NM/$88 M per session
